I started at Farrell's in 2015. My wife and I decided it was time to take care of ourselves again, but we needed a push to get there. Having been in team sports my whole life, I love that this isn't just going to the gym and nobody really cares if you are there or not. The instructors, coaches, and members care. I lost my father unexpectedly the day before Thanksgiving that first year. The next morning I came to the only class of the day because I didn't really know what else to do. I had no sleep and was a wreck. Some people found out through Social media what had happened. I had people I barely knew giving hugs. A member from my ten weeks jumped on the bag with me and said I'll get you through this. You go. I go. Another member found my address and brought homemade pies and soup to help my family have some shred of a "normal" holiday. I came to take care of myself and I stay to try and help others because they were there to help take care of me.
